Are you having trouble logging into the

Tacoma HOG

"Discussion Board" or the "Members Only" site ?

Well here are a few tips to help you.

1. When you click on the "Discussion Board" link or "Members Only" link you will be prompted for the Chapter Password.

The prompt will look like this.

Enter the current Tacoma HOG website Password and then select "Submit"

If you are attempting to access the "Members Only" site; when you select "Submit" you will be admitted and you can begin browsing.

If you are accessing the "Discussion Board"; when you select "Submit" the "Discussion Board" will open.

Note: If you have forgotten the chapter Password, simply click on the link below and request it. You must be a current Tacoma HOG member to obtain the latest password.

Ok now we move on to the "Discussion Board"

The "Discussion Board" requires one additional set of credentials that you create and only you will know the password for them, although any administrator for the "Discussion Board" can reset your password, should you forget it.

To create your own personal User Account in the "Discussion Board", simply click on the "Register" link in the upper portion of the page.

You are required to provide the following information on the "Registration" page: "Username", "Email Address", "Password" and "Confirm Password"

Now enter the "Confirmation Code" exactly as displayed and select "Submit" at the bottom of the "Registration" page and you will be ready to log in.

 

Logging into the "Discussion Board"

Click on the "Log In" link in the upper portion of the screen, you will then receive a different type of logon prompt, one that is part of the "Discussion Board".

Just enter the new user account and password that you created and click "Log In".

You are now logged in but if this is the first time you have logged in there is one more thing you need to do.

Click on the "User Control Panel" link in the upper portion of the page.

Then, Click on the "Usergroups" link on the left side of the page.

Next select the button next to "Validated Users" from the "Non-memberships" section in the right side of the screen.

Then select "Join Selected" from the drop down box and finally click "Submit"

Once you have completed this process, an email will be sent to me stating that you would like to join the group, I will log in and approve you as quickly as possible.

 

Once you are approved you will have access to everything except the "Officers" forum and "Road Captains' forum, if you are a member of either or both of these groups just simply repeat the above steps for those groups as well and you are done.

Sorry about all the hoops that you need to jump through, but this does keep our Board private and you will find that this is fairly simple once you have completed the process.
